So while some people may seek the normal, the crew of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files are traveling around the world looking for UFO’s. "A lot of shows are based on observation," Hansen said. So I said let's start with what they are claiming as evidence and look at that and decide what we want to investigate." During the first part of the show, the team would review various pieces of photographic or video evidence.

He believes that people love to see a little bit of everything. It is not strictly Ghost Hunters or The Twilight Zone, but they combine everything to make the show more exciting.

Jael was a journalist before working with Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, and he was hired as a researcher for Destination Truth, a fellow Syfy show.

Hansen said "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" hasn't been picked back up by the network, but he has been busy with other projects including "UFOs Declassified" which airs on History Canada, and will appear at several upcoming conventions including the UFO Congress in Arizona and Prepper Con in Utah.

"UFOs are what I originally became interested in as a kid," Hansen said, noting there is a "ghost guy," and one team member who had a "boyhood crush on Big Foot." "I did take part in a Big Foot documentary recently and have gone on a couple Big Foot hunts, but I haven't really had any experiences that are Big Foot related yet." Hansen said the legendary Sasquatch isn't his only new interest.The team conducts elaborate experiments and attempts to recreate the phenomena.Ben makes the final choice which cases require a trip into the field.One of the challenges the team faced involved Area 51 and trying to get an approval to maneuver around the base freely for an investigation.The legendary base is protected and security was watching them at all times.
