My response is simple: How can you say the opposite? There is nothing in Scripture that suggests there is just one person we’re ‘supposed’ to marry. The Duggars certainly seem to believe Roberston, having thrown an engagement party for him and his bride-to-be at their Arkansas home.Past troubles: In 2000, Robertson was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree for engaging in anal sex with his roommate without her consent (Robertson in his photo from the sex offender registry above)In a message posted on his Facebook page Monday, Roberston told his side of the story.'I lived with a young lady who worked in a strip club and her boyfriend. The Duggar family has found themselves involved in yet another sex scandal after it was revealed that their live-in tutor is engaged to a man who was convicted of anally penetrating his roommate who worked in a strip club without her consent. In Touch obtained court documents detailing how Timothy Robertson, 46, was accused of sexual battery while living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina back in December of 1999.Proverbs 31 urges young men to be guided by a woman’s faith and character in making their choice—there is no mention of second guessing some divine destiny.
Instead of, “God, why did you lead me into this mess,” you’ll pray, “God, help lead me out of the mess I’ve made.” That’s a huge difference, spiritually speaking.
Safe to say the Duggars are in the minority, having not read Fifty Shades of Grey (the movie adaptation of which they won't be seeing either, we're guessing). The Duggars' option is probably 1,000 times better-written, we will give them that much. The family matriarch feels that dancing encourages "sensual" feelings, while Jessa Duggar has said that she feels modern music promotes "sex, drugs, all that type of stuff." Instead, the family chooses to play gospel music together. There is Duggar-approved swimwear (it's conservative and not very revealing, as Jessa Duggar recently showed us) but when it comes to the beach, that's not happening. Even if you took out the boozy parties, sexy nurses and cats looking to get freaky and frisky with anything that moves, Halloween would still be a no-go for the Duggars.
The Bible warns not to "think about gratifying the pleasure of the flesh," so instead the family studies Christian text and not E. Because, according to the parents, magic and witches are "part of a demonic realm God wants us to stay away from," and this holiday qualifies.
On the day in question, Robertson walked into a room while a female 'was laying face down on her bed, placed himself on top of her and made penis penetration into her anus without her consent,' according to the arrest warrant in the case.
He ultimately pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct in the third degree and received a three-year prison sentence that was suspended by the judge, who instead gave him one year of probation and ordered him to pay 3 in restitution.
