Rules on teachers dating parents

Whenever I talk to him, he's definitely 'colder' with me than the other parents - got this horrible feeling he 'knows' I fancy him and just feels awkward! Well, I very much doubt he's interested in me..called me in to chat about my son (who has possible special needs) a week after the new term started in Sept, and did that thing of trying to put me at ease by being friendly, jokey, talking about where he lived (said he was from my hometown and said he lived near a certain landmark in that town), thought I sensed a bit of 'chemistry' then but ever since, he's been mostly avoiding eye contact! PS - Are you SURE there's nothing wrong with a parent dating a teacher?Whenever I talk to him, he's definitely 'colder' with me than the other parents - got this horrible feeling he 'knows' I fancy him and just feels awkward! OR he likes you too and feels shy or worried you'll think he's coming onto you! All you have to do is be open, friendly and talk to him.I'm single and I love flirting It's very cliche to say 'be yourself' but really if you can be relaxed and not put on an act (which can be hard to do when you like someone) he'll be able to see your personality and if he likes you, will respond.

That's why I don't think you should be giving any thought to this at all.I'm seeing him after class next week to have a chat about my son - I requested it - so id there any chance there for 'being myself'?As I don't see what I could talk about that'd show my personality...because I'm there purely to talk about my son, you know? She's dating (and now living with) the dad of two of her pupils and works in a C of E primary school. I've no idea how their relationship is perceived by her colleagues and I'm sure parent's evenings must be strained, but I'm sure neither of these have contributed to her deciding to retire from teaching at the end of this term."the school having a strict policy against dating parents will obviously put him off even pursuing me..he wanted to." I don't think the school policy will matter one iota!Nothing stops a bloke going for a woman (or a man) he fancies does it.
